Since I created this "demo" site I've been busy elsewhere, but I still use this place to experiment with new ideas and new products. In recent weeks I've upgraded the message forum from Fireboard to Kunena.

The next proof-of-concept is to trial a picture gallery, based on Joom Gallery. Users will see an new menu item (Pictures) on the main menu. Only registered, signed-in users can upload new images to the gallery.

Because this is only a test site, uploaded images cannot be larger than 100K with maximum limit of 10 images per user. A maximum of 3 images can be uploaded at any time.

If you have any comments about how this feature works, or suggestions on what limits should apply on a production site, I would very much like to hear them

There are no messages in the latest post feature used on the site home page. This is because I haven't posted anything here for over a month.

This message demonstrates that the "latest posts" feature works ... for anyone who has their doubts.

Newsflash

We've made some wonderful finds with useful RSS feeds that we can link to our News Feeds page.  We've already added feeds to the weather for Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne as well as TV Guide information for ABC1 and ABC2.
