When is the chat room open?

The chat room is available 24 hours a day.

When do people chat?

This is a demonstration site.  People chat if and when they choose to chat.  There is no set time for chat.  If you want to set a time for chat, create a new discussion topic in the message forum and tell us.

Do you have to be a registered member to use the chat room?

In this demonstration site, no ... you do not have to be registered to use the chat room.  In the real site that follows, yes ... site visitors/guests will have to register as members before they can use the chat room.  It's not certain that there will be a chat room in the future site.  The chat room is for demonstration purposes to show that it's feasible; however, if people do not want a chat facility in future then it won't be provided.

How do I know if other people are in the chat room?

There's a count on the home page.

How do I use the chat room?

The chat room uses a limited number of IRC-like commands.  If you type "/help" at the message prompt, you'll see what the commands are.  If you have other questions, comments, cricitisms or suggestions, please use the message forum.

What if there isn't a message forum topic for my question?

Just because this is a demonstration site it doesn't mean that your questions will go unanswered.  Create a topic, if none exists, and ask.
